Table Filter Add-on Introduces Support for Confluence 5.1

It’s been a long time since we last time upgraded Table Filter Add-on for Atlassian Confluence. Don’t worry! The plugin is still supported. We were a bit busy analyzing the bug reports from our users. Thanks to their feedback we managed to identify some very important issues and got them fixed. Moreover, the new versions introduces the compatibility with Confluence 5.x. From now on, the users of Atlassian Confluence 5.1 can enjoy the improved table filters and the users of Confluence 3.x might need to consider an upgrade since the new plugin version is not compatible with it anymore.

So what exactly does Table Filter fix? First, it’s the well-known problem of highlighted cells not being filtered. We got lots of complaints about it, so this one was a priority for the next version. With the new version installed, you can have your tables shaded in different colors and they still will be filtered correctly. Moreover, now the first line is always considered as a table header whether it’s highlighted or not.

Another tiny yet annoying bug was the & sign. Well, not the & sign per se, but if it happened to occur in any cells the filter would ignore them and leave out the containing cells unsorted. That is also fixed in Table Filter 1.5.0.

If you want to make your experience with tables in Confluence more enjoyable, go ahead and upgrade your Table Filter. We will be happy if you let us know what you think about it on Atlassian Marketplace or by sending us an email. We value your opinion and any feature request or bug report is highly welcome!
